sad day

It was a sad day today. My dog has been sick and unable to stand, let alone walk and hasnt been eating or drinking much. A few weeks back we took her to the vet and she had a stomach tumor, but due to the fact that she had lost a lot of weight, she wasnt strong enough that surgery would be worth doing because she likely wouldnt come out of the anesthesia. Today, my parents took her back to the vet and I had to say my goodbyes this morning before I went to work. Sadly, she is no longer with us and we have all been very upset about it. I thought id just share a few photos because ive been looking through some and thought why not.

my room

 Im moving! And by I, I mean my family as im nowhere need ready to move out yet.  I am a little sad as this is my childhood house- ive been here since I was a year old and this tiny town is all I know. So moving is slightly scary but exciting non-the-less as I have been dying to get out of this town a while now. That being said, I thought I would share some shots of what my current room looks like. Ive always loved this room regardless of its odd shape and the fact that there was never a good place to set up my furniture in the way that I want it, which is why it looks really random with a tv sitting on a nightstand, etc.


Over the past few months, ive made small changes for show purposes when the house was going up for sale. The mirror and pictures were put up after sitting around for practically a year to make the walls less bare, and some furniture has been taken out of the room. I had been packing when I took these photos so the other side of the room is filled with boxes if you were wondering, which I dont think anyone really wants to see.


The bed spread is from walmart, along with mirror. Dresser and night table are from ikea years ago and are not sold anymore, and the chandelier is also from ikea.

I am now in my new house, hating my red walls and living out of boxes. I finally got internet today so posts should be more frequent, yay!

Bus! When I went to hair school it would take me over 2 hours to get there when its an hour drive.

What do you love most about yourself?

How calm and relaxed I am. Im very easy going and get along with mostly anyone. I never realized what a good thing this was until last year when I had an interview in a salon and they actually saw being "mellow" as a bad thing. But who wants to be around someone all day who cant sit still and shut up for five minutes?

Zoo!

Last weekend I went to the Toronto zoo with my boyfriend, his brother and his girlfriend. It was scorching out which made the day feel really long and uncomfortable, but overall it was quite fun. I snapped a few photos of the animals. A lot of them didnt turn out too well as they were taken through glass, but I thought I would share a few with you!

Steve-O !

Last week my boyfriend and I went to see Steve-O do stand up. Obviously this is not something he usually does so we were a little skeptical as to how it was going to be. and actually, he was pretty funny! 99% of what he was talking about was sexual, but non the less, funny. He also did a few stunts, including breaking a light bulb, cutting his tongue with a piece of the glass, and using his blood to draw war paint on his face(you can see this in the photo below).

Now probably the most exciting part, he stuck around after the show and took photos with everyone with his own camera and uploaded them all to his site. I dont know how long we waited for the line to go down before joining in(it felt like forever)-we were some on the last people to get photos. Here is my photo, and I think I look horrible as we got rained on on the way there and I look a state, but hey ho, I got to meet Steve-O!

2012 Resolutions

I have been thinking long and hard about what changes I want to make this year. Long story short, 2011 wasnt very good to me and it left me feeling lost and unhappy. A lot of thought was out into deciding what it was I wanted, what made me happy or sad- basically just what was missing from my life that I could change to make this year better. I decided on the following 

 I feel like these are small changes, yet would still make a big difference. Hopefully I will actually stick to them. What are your resolutions?

What I Got For Xmas

Wen hair care system, Bodyshop bath set, leopard/zebra print scarf, black tights, FoxyLocks extensions(dyed to match my hair), milk and white chocolate Terry's chocolate oranges, Wonderstruck Perfume, and also a Keurig special edition(not photographed as its in my kitchen).

I also got new scissors and brushes for work in November as an early xmas present because I needed to use them right away. I will be reviewing a few of the things you see here in the near future once I have produced a proper opinion on them, so you can look forward to that. I have also decided I am going to try to blog everyday this year.

Kind of a random selection of stuff, but these are the only things I'm really interested in. The perfume I'm unsure of, and may be changed to another if I come across one, and the extensions will have to be dyed to match my hair.

Niagara

At the beginning of the month, I went to Niagara Falls with a group of friends for a three day trip. I had a great time getting away from my tiny of a town for a bit, and getting together with some people I hadn't seen in forever. I didn't get a lot of pictures, but here a few of the falls.

DecalGirl

I made an order with DecalGirl last week. I has been looking for a new case for my phone and he informed me of this site that has some really cool designs. I really wanted one with a peacock design as I have an odd fascination with them, and when I saw this one I knew right away I coudnt pass up getting it. Not to mention the price was only $7.99, totally just over 10 bucks with shipping. Bargain!

 The shipping was super fast. I recieved it in a week, which I was surprised by as shipping to Canada usually takes a bit longer. I was like a kid on christmas opening the package and was slightly disappointed when I realized it was not a case, but a skin. Almost sticker like. I had been wanting something that would prevent damage of my phone in case I, being the clumsy person that I am, happened to drop my phone.

I put my skin on my phone regardless, as I was in LOVE with the design. Im not a big fan of the sticker on the face of the phone, I may remove that one and leave the others. I am undecided. It has a shiny finish to it, and fits around each button perfectly, and even comes with a code to get a matching wallpaper! Which I think is neat, but I like my eiffel tower background.

I'd been feeling very ill the past week from the sun. I was having heat stroke like symptoms, which is odd to last so long and this was the third time i'd experienced this. Other then going to school for my last two days at the beginning of the week, I hadnt stepped outside for longer than a few minutes as I grew a new fear of the sun, hahah.
But as I was beginning to feel a lot better, I decided to venture outside yesterday and go with my dad down to Toronto. Sitting in the car for so long unable to escape the sun brought my headache back which gave me a bit of a fright, but luckily it was only temporary and I seem to be back to my normal self again!

Hey lovelies. I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I have been busy with school and such, and usually pass out in my bed by the time I get home at night. Ive been feeling a bit crummy lately and havent been in the mood for blogging. But I promise to post more frequently now that I'm almost done school. Blahhh

I attempted to cut my own bangs this weekend, not a very good idea. I would never recommend anyone try this, even if you are a stylist. I figured since I was the only one that knew what I wanted them to look like I should just do them myself. How bad could it be? They didnt turn out quite like id hoped and although I dont hate them completely, I really dont like how they dont blend in with the rest of my hair.Ill have to get my teacher to fix them up for me.

On a side note, I have an interview for an apprenticeship. Unfortunately I took forever to contact them back and they are interviewing another girl for the position, and they cant get me in for another two weeks! Ugh! So looks like I have some competition, i'm not too worried though for some odd reason. I did really well on my exams last week so I know i'm good at what I do. I just hope they'll give me a chance to prove that to them.

Overall my day was okay. I will be posting a review if not tomorrow, some time this week, as well as some of my favourite products for the month of april. So be sure to check those out.

Mothers Day

It's so nice out today..for once.
Spent the day cleaning my room, shopping at walmart with my mama and now just relaxing listening to the edge.
Hope the nice weather stays, I want to bring out the dresses and sandals already!
