Wella Brilliance Conditioner

I received this in my glossybox last month and was extremely excited, as I havent really tried anything from Wella before and I am also a big lover of conditioners. That being said, I have tried many targeted for different purposes, but never one specifically designed for fine hair. It is also for colour treated hair, which is great for me as I have both.

The conditioner is light weight, said to leave even fine hair full of vibrant shine and free-flowing movement, also containing diamond dust. The scent is absolutely amazing and completely indescribable. I catch a sniff of it throughout the day as my hair moves, that even if the stuff didnt work Id probably still use it anyway just for the scent. But low and behold, I think the conditioner does exactly as it claims. My hair is left silky soft, flowy and shinier than usual. I cant really give my two cents on whether or not it helps retain colour, as my hair is already faded and I only have a small sample, but I am nonetheless impressed with this product and will definitely be buying a full size very soon!

Burts Bees Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey and Grapeseed Oil Hand Cream

I always here great things about Burts Bees products. Working in a salon unfortunately means never having pretty nails or soft hands. A while back I was in need of something to help my poor dry hands from being in and out of water all the time, and enter Burts Bees.

This cream is natural, combining honey and vitamin rich botanical oils (grape seed, cupuaca and macadamia) to moisturize, and is enriched with Rosemary extract and Vitamin E. While this sounds lovely being natural and all, I cant help but hate it. The smell is very overwhelming- a very strong honey scent. Not being a honey lover (scent or taste), I must say that using this cream is like torture! The smell lingers for ages and makes me want to scrub my hands off.

However, I would say the cream is pretty moisturizing. After the initial sticky feeling is absorbed (which is very off-putting along with the smell), I do notice my hands feeling a lot nicer. However I feel like I cant touch anything for close to an hour; not a good thing when your applying on the go. Overall, im not overly impressed with this cream and am really just trying to use it up as it was around $12 and I dont really want to waste it.

So to conclude, I would only recommend this if you love the smell of honey and dont mind its strong, overwhelmingly nauseating smell(in my humble opinion). Have you tried this?

Love That Pink

Rimmel; Love That Pink

Summers just around the corner, which means sunshine, flowers, and bright colours. Or lets at least hope, since the weathers not been too kind lately. But when it comes to bright colours, what better place to wear it then your lips!
Ive been looking through my lipstick collection lately and came across this one that I think is beautiful, but is very bold for me and has made me afraid to leave my room with it on let alone the house. It is a lovely coraly pink colour, perfect for summer, not so ideal for someone with as pale a skin tone as myself. I am hoping that this summer however I will rustle up the courage to wear this colour out and feel confident in it.

Does anyone have this colour and if so what are your opinions on it?

Unique Beads

I recently discovered this new online jewellery site that sells affordable bracelets and earrings. Everything they have is super cute and right up my alley. They are a UK site, but ship worldwide. While I am usually hesitant to buy things from so far, as they usually end up costing a fortune, I am happy to say my bracelet arrived within a reasonable amount of time and I didnt have to break my bank account for that to happen.

Above is what I bought, a hand made turquoise skull bracelet. If you like what you see, I recommend checking out their site here and get 15% off your order using the code EGCA.

John Frieda Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture

Refreshes and feeds from roots to ends while restoring deep moisture for silky, soft hair that’s noticeably more resilient with every use. With natural Eucalyptus and peppermint oil, this formula stimulates the scalp with a cool, tingling sensation. Massaging your scalp encourages circulation, which will "wake-up" healthier-looking new growth. I received these in a set at christmas last year, which also contained a detangling spray and brush. I dont have the spray to show as I used it up, but I briefly talked about it in my empties post. I didnt have any high expectations when trying these out. Ive tried a few shampoos aimed towards colour treated hair and wasnt blown away, but with one I surprisingly was.

The scent is a light mint, nothing overwhelming which I actually enjoy considering im not a huge mint fan. Now when it comes to giving you silky, soft hair- they werent kidding! My hair is left feeling manageable and smooth as ever, no signs of dryness. A comb glides easily through the hair; a pleasant thing for us girls with damaged locks.
As for encouraging growth, I cant tell you anything except that you probably shouldnt be using this if your if your intent is to wake up one morning with hair to the ground, as I dont think there are really any shampoos that will do so. The eucalyptus may stimulate the scalp to aid in a"healthy growth", but thats about it. I couldnt talk highly enough of these, and would recommend them to anyone who is looking to help their dry hair without breaking the bank.

Z Palette

For a while, I had been wanting a palette to depot my Mac eyeshadows into. Since lately ive been more into shopping online rather than being shoved around in the mall, I decided to look for a good deal. Z palette seemed like the best option, as it holds 28 Mac shadows rather than 15. This made the most sense to me, helping you save money in the long run when your collection grows so you dont need to purchase a second palette. Also, with this option I fit anything I like in it. Any brand, and any pan product I like.
I opted for the zebra print as I am a big animal and animal print lover. I absolutely love it, and keep all my Mac shadows and a depoted Rimmel quad as well. Its very handy, not having to riffle through all my eyeshadows to find what im looking for. The only down side is that some pans arent magentic and you have to spend extra time gluing magnets on the back, but overall I think its completely worth it.

I know pretty much everyone knows about these already, but I thought id share it with you anyway! Z palette is available in two sizes, and a range of colours, mine being the larger of the two. They range from $14-20 and are available here.

Im just too tired to be fighting, guess im not the fighting kind

top / Forever 21
skinny jeans / H&M
bandeau / Garage

I am a sucker for shirts with a high-low cut. They are easily worn, whether it be with pants or leggings, keeping your behind covered. This one I got from F21 last year and must say, doesnt get enough wear! Its a blousey material that flows nicely, and has lace on the back. My only complaint is that it slides down a a lot, so unless you were gifted in the chest area which I was not, it can be a real pain in the you know what to hike up all the time, therefore a bandeau is the best possible solution.

I havent done outfit posts in a while and I apologize for that. You can be sure to see many coming your way over the month of may I assure! I hope everyone is well, and happy May!

April Glossybox

At the beginning of the month, I discovered through a fellow canadian blogger that GlossyBox was brought over to Canada not that long ago. I cannot explain to you how excited this made me, as I had been reading my favourite bloggers from the UK talk about what was in there boxes for months and always jealous that I could not order a box myself. If you are unfamiliar as to what GlossyBox is, it is a monthly service that sends you a box of five luxury samples of high-end brands for $15, free shipping.

Now your probably curious, what did I get in my box

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer (Full Size) $22.99
This is a moisturizer said to improve the look of tone, texture, dullness, blotchiness and brown spots giving you naturally radiant skin.
I was honestly a bit disappointed to see aveeno in here, as they save to give you "high-end" products, and this is found in the drug store. However, I have been using it the past few days and it seems like an decent product.

Marcelle Xtension Plus Mascara (Full Size) $12.99
Define and separate lashes while minimizing clumps and create a maximum lengthening potential.
Again I have not tried this out yet as I dont like having more than one mascara going at once. As a mascara junkie I was happy to find this in my box. However, length is not a problem I have with my lashes and would have preferred something for volume, I am still eager to try this out.

Elizabeth Grant Skin Care Shower Gel (Full Size) $20.00
A delightful fragrant cleansing gel, that can be used in the bath or as a shower gel for cleansing.
I havent tried this out but seems like a nice smelling shower gel, and I like that it comes with a pump.

Wella Brilliance Conditioner and Treatment $13.99
Brilliance conditioner moisturizes coloured hair, leaving shine and free-flowing movement.
Brilliance treatment with triple blend technology instantly restores hair vibrancy. Both contain diamond dust.
I love that both of these are targeted towards fine to normal hair as well as colour treated, as I have both. I am waiting till I had touched up my colour to try these out and see how I like them!

Marcelle BB Cream sample $22.95
8-in-1 skin enhanancer with muti-benefits. Comes in to shades, light to medium and medium to dark. Said to have self adjusting pigments.

Overall, I am pleasantly surprised at how happy I was with my box. I am eager to try everything out. If you live in canada and would like to try Glossybox out, you can subscribe here
