This Week Im Loving.. #8
Maybelline The Rocket Mascara
I had this sitting in my drawer for about a month waiting to be opened when I finished my current mascara. I kept seeing people using it and talking about it and knowing it was just sitting there I couldnt help but open it and give it a try. Something I never do when I have a mascara on the go already. The mega big brush is really easy for me to use for my lashes, and gives me great length and fullness. It almost gives a false lash effect. Im a big fan so far. A coworker who doesnt even wear makeup commented on my makeup and was asking me how I apply it the other day and the only thing different was that I used this mascara. So ill take that a good sign.
Mac Mocha Blush
I always go back to this blush because it is just the easiest colour to wear. It goes with every look, whether im going for the no makeup look or a full on face it just looks so natural and pretty. The berry rose colour works great on my skintone andis probably one of my favourites.
Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss
I caved and fell into the hype of these. I saw it in Target for 2.99 or 3.99 and thought why not. Peach Kiss is obviously a peach tone. Its not very noticeabe on the lips but I still really like it. It smells fruity and lovely and leaves me rubbing my lips together the whole time im wearing it because it feels so smooth. Id like to try the red or pink one to see how the colour of those show up, but I can see why people like these. But it really is just a lipbalm.
I.C.O.N Inner Home Moisturizing Treatment
Ive had this a while a never tried it. Inner Home is a treatment for dry, damaged, brittle hair that can be used as a deep conditioner or mask. I left it on for about 5 to 10 minutes and rinsing it out I could already tell it made a big difference. My hair was silky soft, really easy to manage and brush through. The scent is kind of herbaly, as most I.C.O.N. products, which isnt my favourite, but I really liked the results of this.

Curly/Wavy Hair Product Recommendations
Summer seems to always be the time everyone wants to forget the heat and go natural with their hair. Ive never been one of these people because my natural hair is can a real pain in the you know what. But ive found a few products over the last couple months that actually help kwwp the curl and tame the unwanted frizz.
Tigi Catwalk Curlesque Curls Rock Amplifier
I have the whole Curlesque line including shampoo, conditoner and a leave in but this is the stand out product for me. Its a cream product that is applied to damp hair to define waves or curls and keep the frizz down. The great thing about this is that it doesnt leave that awful crunchy, wet look that mousses do, unless you apply to much which I did the first time I used it. It is the only thing Ive found thus far that works with hair and doesnt make me want to straighten or throw it up within the hour. My only complaint is that it doesnt smell the greatest, which is a disappointment because the shampoo has a nice fresh scent. But once its on you cant smell it anyway.
John Frieda Secret Weapon Finishing Cream
This is a sample I got a long time ago and never used until a few months ago when my hair was really frizzy beyond control. I saw this stuff and thought I might as well give it a try. It smelt nice and it worked pretty well. I tried it another day when I let my hair air dry without putting anything in it at all and just a small amount through the hair really tamed the frizz and flyaways and I easily could of gone out like that. Like I said, I dont normally leave the house with my hair like this, so thats saying a lot. This is a good one for this time of year with the himidity to help from getting hair like Monica from Friends.

Tanning Regime
Starting by exfoliating my whole body, I am currently using the Body Shop Shea Sugar Scrub, followed by the St. Ives Apricot Facial Scrub (optional). This helps to remove any dry skin, or remnants of a previous tan. To moisturize the skin and create a smooth even application, right now I am using the Naturally Upper Canada Cranberry Moro Orannge Body Lotion, and then finally going in with the tanning lotion, Xen-Tan Dark Lotion Weekly Self-Tan. I apply this with a tanning mitt for an easy, streak free application. I let it sit for a few minutes while I go onto the face either with the same lotion if I want to be dark, or the Xen-Tan Luminous Glow Gel in medium for a softer glow to the face. I then dress in dark, loose clothing while it "develops" to prevent leaving marks on clothes.

Pink In The Afternoon
With my love for Revlons matte lipstick in Mauve It Over, I thought id try some more lipsticks from the brand as I have always enjoyed a good Revlon product. Pink in the Afternoon is from the Super Lustrous line and is a a warm coraly pink shade. This is a pink that actually looks quite nice on my complexion. I find pinks to just look odd on me, but I do quite like this one. Its definitely a more summery shade and I hope to get some use out of it. Its brighter than what I tend to go for usually, but I think this will be still really easy worn.

June Favourites
Tigi BedHead Urban Antidotes Level 1 Re-Energize Shampoo
This daily shampoo works great at making my hair feel clean, regardless of how long its been since I last washed it, or how much hairspray is in there. It smells lovely as BedHead products do, kinda fruity, and is just a really nice product.
L'oreal Elnett Hairspray
I recently cut my bangs(myself) and because my hair is not used to swooping over my forehead, this hairspray has been my bestfriend. Its a light spray that gives a good holding without leaving that crunchy, hairspray look or feel in the hair.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Weapon Finishing Cream
As ive been attempting to use less heat on my hair when possible, ive been on the hunt for products that will work well with my natural poofy, frizzy, wavy hair. This stuff really helps at taming any frizz or flyaways. It really has been my little secret weapon.
Essie Ballet Slippers
As I said in this post, I was looking for q replacement off white pink colour. Ballet Slippers is the perfect colour for short nails or giving that kind of clean, professional look to your hands.
Revlon Mauve It Over
This has basically been the only lip colour ive worn all month. Its a really easy to wear colour for me, is work appropriate and isnt bright or "in your face" as I always say. Its just a great colour.
Xen Tan Dark Weekly Lotion
This is the only fake tan ive ever really liked. It doesnt leave my streaky or looking unnatural because of its olive undertones. Regardless of being a dark lotion, which scared me at first, it gives a really natural glowy colour to my skin that makes it look like you were on a beach for a week.
