Empties #1

I have so many half full products sitting around my house, and it started to bug me. I think I had about five or six different conditioners in my shower, and only one or two were being used. Why do I feel the need to try new things before I finish another? This got me thinking as to how many other products I had multiples of that were not being used, and believe me there are many. So as a solution I decided I am going to use up as much of the neglected products as possible, and throw out whatever was not usable. By doing so, it stops me from wasting money on things I dont need or already have, and clears space for new products im sure will take their place in the future.

In march, I basically focused on my almost empty hair products- conditoners, shampoos, mousses, and sprays. Two conditioners, a detangling spray, face wash and mascara lighter, I am quite happy with my progress so far. Because most of these havent been used in months, I felt as though I had new products I was trying out without spending a dime!

Dove Damage Therapy conditioner in Energize
I actually really enjoyed this. It has a grapefruit and lemongrass scent which is very fresh and clean smelling, and leaves the hair feeling silky soft and manageable. Dove is probably one of my top rated drugstore hair brands, I would recommend this to anyone with dry, damaged hair.

John Freida Root Awakening Detangling Spray
I used to use this stuff daily, and for some reason stopped. The whole root awakening line is lovely, and has  nice minty scent from the eucalyptus in it. It makes brushing through your hair a breeze, and if you have damaged hair, this stuff works to help keep your hair on your head then your brush.

Neutragena Deep Clean Cleanser
Ive had this sitting in my medicine cabinet for years and always hated it. Im not sure why it was still in there, and less than a quarter of the bottle was used so I just poured it out. Im just glad I dont have to look at it anymore.
John Freida Radiant Red Colour Captivating conditioner
When I first coloured my hair red last march, I was on the hunt for what worked best at keeping the colour from fading so quickly. I saw this in the drugstore and decided id try it out. It supposed to make your colour more vibrant and shiny, while still preserving the colour. Honestly, I never noticed a difference. I stopped using it because I expected amazing results and didnt see them. When using it again, I found it left my hair quite soft and smelling nice, but as for the colour again I didnt see anything that wowed me to want to spend the money on it again.
Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara
This was probably one of my favourite mascaras. It makes my lashes long, dark, and clump free. What more could I ask for? I got many compliments on my lashes while wearing this, asking if my lashes were fake. While I get asked this quite often anyway because I naturally have nice lashes, I found I got asked more often while using this.

If you are like me and have more procuts then you need, I recommend trying this out. It feels very rewarding when you finish a product you've had for a long time, and of course after you know whether or not to ever buy it again.
