sad day

It was a sad day today. My dog has been sick and unable to stand, let alone walk and hasnt been eating or drinking much. A few weeks back we took her to the vet and she had a stomach tumor, but due to the fact that she had lost a lot of weight, she wasnt strong enough that surgery would be worth doing because she likely wouldnt come out of the anesthesia. Today, my parents took her back to the vet and I had to say my goodbyes this morning before I went to work. Sadly, she is no longer with us and we have all been very upset about it. I thought id just share a few photos because ive been looking through some and thought why not.
RIP Lydia, I love and miss you.

Annabelle Eyeshadows

If you live in Canada, you may be familiar with the drugstore brand Annabelle. I regularly use their liquid liner and have been a fan of their shadows for a while as well. They come individually in little pots reminiscent of macs, being the same size pans and all. They also sell select shades in pan form that can be put in a quad like I have above. I however, decided to depot the ones I had which is very easily done and as the pans are magnetic, you dont need to glue magnets on the back as you would with a mac one.

I have 4 shades- Aura, Cloud, Charcoal, and Black. They have great pigmentation and dont have any fallout. My favourite shade as you can see is cloud, a shimmery taupe.

The shadows are around $4-6 depending where you buy from, and the quad was about $8 if I remember correctly. For nice shadows on a budget, these are a definite recommendation from me.

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb

An explosive bouquet of fresh and sweet notes arrives with perfume Flowerbomb, introduced in 2005, as an oriental perfume.
The bottle is in the shape of diamond-granate, alluding at the fragrance itself- explosive, sophisticated and glamorous.

Top notes of bergamot and green tea, a heart is floral and opulent with intensive, sweet and pure Sambac jasmine, seductive Centifolia rose, freesia and Cattleya orchid. Musk and patchouli in a base wrap us with an oriental scent, while its milky and powdery notes gently fondle the skin.

I had heard many great things about Flowerbomb and while in sephora I passed it and decided to have a sniff. Not surprising at all, I loved it and decided to get it rather than what I had gone in there for in the first place. It has a more sophisticated smell than what I typically would go for (warm, sweet, fruity scents) which is new to me but I think would be very nice for night. The bottle is beautiful and is available in three sizes- 30, 50 and 100 ml. I went for the 30ml (1oz.) bottle and was slightly disappointed at the size for the hefty $85 price tag. Regardless, I think it is a nice scent and im sure I will get a lot of use out of it.
