This stuff is my favourite thing to exist, ever. I had heard so many good reviews on CHI products for years, but for some reason never tried any of them. While attending hair school I was experimenting with my hair a lot, changing colours and styles more frequently than I probably should have. With that being said, my hair was not happy with all the abuse it was getting, leaving me with breakage, split ends, and just overall dry, not so nice hair. From someone who never coloured or did more than straighten or curl their hair, becoming a blonde and then redhead was a really fun change, but would a lot nicer if it came without damage.
I was on the hunt for some nice products to use- different conditioners, oils, straightening creams and heat protectants, and while some of those were nice and I did notice a difference in my hair, nothing gave me such amazing results as CHI's Silk Infusion. Now I had been thinking about trying this product one day, but when going to the store I was actually going with the intention of purchasing the 44 Iron Guard heat protectant, however they didnt have it in stock so I figured I would try this one as I knew its reviews were very positive.
The product is an oil that is applied to damp hair prior to styling. It is meant to reconstruct the hair and give it a silky feel and shine. Does it do this? Absolutely. The first time I used it, I couldnt stop touching my hair. It hadnt felt that smooth and silky in months! I was amazed. Only a very small amount needs to be used, as it disperses through the hair easily. The one thing im on the fence about is the smell. It reminds me of cologne or mens after shave. Kind of an odd smell for a hair product- not bad, just unexpected compared to the usual fruity smells most brands have.
I am more than happy with this product and would recommend it to everyone with dry or damaged hair. I honestly dont know how I managed without it all this time. The bottle is going to last me ages, but when im finished I will definitely be repurchasing.

What I Got For Xmas
Wen hair care system, Bodyshop bath set, leopard/zebra print scarf, black tights, FoxyLocks extensions(dyed to match my hair), milk and white chocolate Terry's chocolate oranges, Wonderstruck Perfume, and also a Keurig special edition(not photographed as its in my kitchen).
I also got new scissors and brushes for work in November as an early xmas present because I needed to use them right away. I will be reviewing a few of the things you see here in the near future once I have produced a proper opinion on them, so you can look forward to that. I have also decided I am going to try to blog everyday this year.
I hope everyone had a lovely christmas and new year, and wish you all the best for 2012 x

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Moisturizer
With the cold winter weather, also comes ugly, itchy, dry, flaking skin. Not a pretty look. Generally I have quite nice skin- few spots, no oil or dryness. I was definitely blessed in this area. However come winter, my skin gets extremely dry and itchy in certain areas, my face being one of the worst. I get dry, flaky patches on my cheeks, forehead, and above the eyebrow. My daily moisturizer I was using was on its last legs and just was doing anything for these particular areas. My foundation would accentuate these areas so badly, someday I didnt want to leave the house because I didnt want anyone to see my face. I decided to invest in a nicer face cream, and having no idea what I was looking for I wandered the shelves. One of the girls working there asked the usual "Can I help you find anything questions?" and while I usually answer with an "I'm just looking, thanks", I thought this was a good time to use their assistance. The girl recommended I try Vichy, and showed me that there was a set with two other products included that was a dollar cheaper than cream itself. Why they had the price like that baffles me, but I couldnt resist a deal and chance to try some other products so decided to go for that.
Now in all honesty, I didnt have high expectations for this stuff. I figured a creams a cream, no matter how much money you spend. But I was wrong. I tried it the next day, and when it came time to put my make up on I wasnt expecting to see anything different. My foundation went on beautifully- skin looked smooth and flake free. I couldnt believe it! One use and it made the 36 dollar purchase worth it.
The cream is thick, and very moisturizing. It absorbs into the skin very well, making it a good base for your makeup. I would be careful as to how much you use though, being a rich cream, as to not clog your pores. The smell is not something I particularly like, almost like a mild sun block scent. However from what ive read, a lot of people seem to like the smell. As an overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone with dry/dehydrated skin. A definite winter life saver.
